HENRI
Photographic Intelligence
Not a filter. Not a gallery app. An agent that sees photographs the way a working critic sees them — through formal analysis, historical literacy, and curatorial judgment.
How HENRI Sees
Five axes, applied to every image:
Formal
Composition, geometry, light quality and direction, tonal range, depth, spatial organization.
Technical
Sharpness, exposure, dynamic range, focus precision. The craft underneath the art.
Semantic
Subject, narrative, emotional register, environment. What the image says and what it withholds.
Historical
Traditions, specific photographer references, movement. Where this image sits in the conversation.
Curatorial
Tier (exhibition to discard), score (0–100), justification. The honest assessment most tools won't give you.
The Five Tiers
Proof of Work
Built on Seth Goldstein's two-body practice: Hasselblad X2D II (415 images) and iPhone Eye gallery (383 images). Paris, Arizona, Bombay Beach.
